At Happy Hearts Pet Care LLC we contract with wonderful pet sitters who are reliable, pet loving people that have been providing services with our company for years and know how to uphold our high standards of service to our valued clients. Our sitters have taken pet CPR & first aid training, have passed a criminal background check with the Michigan State Police and are covered with bonding and liability insurance.
You will have the opportunity to meet any contracted team member that would be caring for your pets and home so you can feel comfortable and confident with the person providing care. You can also have peace of mind knowing that there will ALWAYS be someone from our service available to care for your pets no matter what circumstance might arise.
I have had the pleasure of working with Happy Hearts Pet Care since 2002! The high standards of care we provide is the same level of care that I give my own pets that I love so very much. My husband and I have been area residents for over 46yrs and support several animal shelters and rescue groups. Our family pets are an Australian Shepard, Annie, a mini Schnauzer, Gracia Mae and Sammy the Cockatiel. All of whom we adopted from rescues.
When I tell people I am a pet sitter they often ask me how I deal with extreme weather conditions and I say, by dressing for success the pet sitter way! A variety of quality, moisture repellent and warm, warmer, warmest coats and boots. My motto is – the mail must go through and the dogs must go poo!
I am excited to say I started working with Happy Hearts Pet Care in November 2015. It is so much fun meeting, and taking care of all my new pet friends. My favorite part of the job is taking the midday walk outside with the dogs, but I enjoy playing and caring for the cats too!
I have lived in Ann Arbor for over 40 years, and love this city. I am a graduate from Eastern Michigan University, and have a background in medical, dental assisting, and horticulture. My two grown daughters also live in Ann Arbor. Animals and gardening have always been my passion. When I worked at a local plant nursery, my favorite part of the day was being greeted by the nursery cat. I currently own 2 mini-Aussies, Shadow and Tati, and a 21 year old tabby named Sam.
As a former client of Happy Hearts Pet Care, it was comforting to know I had a sitter that I could trust to take care of my dogs while I was at work. My goal as a sitter is to treat your pets with the respect, care, and companionship the same way as if they were my own.
I have worked with Happy Hearts Pet Care since January 2014. I have been a pet sitter in the Ann Arbor area for over 10 yrs.
I was born and raised in Ann Arbor and started caring for neighbors pets when I was about 10yrs old. I have three grown children who also have a strong love for animals and they are starting to give me four legged grand children!!!
In the picture with me is our 3yr old calico named “Winnie” and our 11 month old golden “Josie”. I have the best job in the whole world !!! I will love and care for your pets as I do my own!!
I have had the pleasure of working as an independent contractor with Happy Hearts Pet Care since 2003. I have cared for pets just about all of my life, from childhood family pets through the present. Over the years I’ve worked with several rescue and shelter organizations around Boston and here in Ann Arbor. I am presently volunteering at the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
I work pretty much just with cats and other small animals.
I live in Ann Arbor with two cats, Bob (pictured with me here) and Sparkler who likes to hide under the bed, and I have two others being fostered. I love them all dearly. I will give your pets the same kind of reliable, loving care that I give my own and for which Happy Hearts has been known for over 20 years.
Hello! My name is Carly and I’m a pet sitter with Happy Hearts Pet Care. I have always have had a love and passion for animals since I was very little. I grew up with animals ranging from rabbits, guinea pigs, Zebra finches, parakeets, cockatiels, fish, cats, and dogs.
My love for animals has also translated through my career choices. I was a professional dog groomer for over four years and worked at a pet boutique. I love working with and taking care of senior and rescue pets. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering with local rescue groups. I’ve taken pet CPR and have done internships at a vet office and a wildlife rescue.
My husband and I share our home with a spunky pointer mix named Izzy, and a calico cat named Marble.
I treat each individual pet in my care as it was a part of my own family and take in consideration each one of their individual needs and personalities. I look forward to providing extra special care and love to your furry family members while you are away!
Hello, My name is Michelle Caryl, I live in the Saline area with my family along with our playful golden retriever Darby and our curious kitty Sophie.
My love for animals began as a child, growing up we always had pets ranging from dogs to hamsters. As an adult I have been a pet.home sitting hobbyist for my family members, friends and neighbors and that is when I realized I wanted to turn my hobby into a career.
Pet care is very important top me so I continue to educate myself with seminars, attending local events and by joining the Happy Hearts Pet Care team.
I look forward to the opportunity to earn your trust and to be able to give your pets the same love and companionship as you do.
Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by pets, loving them from the earliest age I can remember. My family had barn cats, horses, cows, and always at least one family dog.
Once I was on my own and off to college, I quickly realized the biggest void in my life— not having a pet! I got my dog Wolfgang (an Australian Shepherd) during my second year of school while I was living in Kalamazoo.
After getting an Associate’s degree in English, Wolf and I moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia, where I got my Bachelor’s degree in English literature from University of Mary Washington. Post graduation, I was offered an internship with the National Parks Service. This helped remind me how much I loved working outside. In my spare time, I began to do some dog-sitting, and that just kept expanding as time went on.
After spending five years in Virginia, it was time to move a little closer to home. My boyfriend Andy and I and our dogs (Max, basset/lab) just moved up to Ann Arbor in the spring of 2017! We are loving the change of pace, and I am so grateful to have found a place at Happy Hearts that allows me to love on and care for more pets every day! I honestly can’t imagine a better job than this one.
I’m graduate of Eastern Michigan University, and I’ve been working with Happy Hearts Pet Care for a good portion of my time there! Growing up on a farm, and having an animal loving household, I’ve had experience with just about any pet imaginable. I’ve always had a passion for animals and their well-being. I have a cat, Finn, and a Goldendoodle, Zooey, and I treat them as I would my own child.
My goal is to build a friendship with your pets strong enough so that when you’re out walking your dog, they will recognize me and run to say hi. I know that leaving your pets may be a strenuous task, but know that they are in good hands with Happy Hearts Pet Care, and will be loved as much as they are when you are home.
